Privacy policy

This policy explains how Steven Allan Booth (ABN 79 985 869 259), trading as Seven Stars Academy, which runs Lightwork Academy, handles personal information collected through lightwork.academy and related services. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

Your name and email address when you join a list, buy a product or enrol in a course; your profession and, where relevant, professional registration when you enrol in the practitioner pathway; payment details, which are processed by our payment provider and never stored by us; correspondence you send us; and usage data described under cookies below.

Why we collect it

To deliver what you have asked for (emails, products, courses and events), to administer enrolment and assessment, to send you information about the academy that you have opted into, and to understand which pages lead people to sign up.

Email and lists

Our lists run on Kit (Kit.com, United States). Every list uses double opt-in and every email carries a one-click unsubscribe. We do not sell, rent or share your address.

Payments

Payments are processed by our payment provider under its own privacy policy. We receive your name, email, the item purchased and the last four digits of a card, and nothing more.

Cookies and measurement

Essential cookies keep the site working. One measurement cookie — the Meta pixel — is loaded only if you choose "Allow" on the notice at the bottom of the page; you can change that choice by clearing this site's data in your browser. Our hosting provider (Vercel) records standard, anonymous server logs.

Course records

If you enrol in the practitioner pathway, your logbook summaries and case studies are held for assessment. Case studies must be de-identified before submission; you are responsible for your clients' consent and records under your own professional obligations.

Storage, access and correction

Information is stored with our service providers, some of whom are outside Australia (United States and European Union). You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you by emailing hello@lightwork.academy. We respond within 30 days.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, write to us first. If we cannot resolve it, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
