Antahkarana — building the bridge of light
The Antahkarana is described in the tradition as a consciously built bridge of mental matter between the higher mind and the heart. In Esoteric Acupuncture it is a sequence of thirty-seven gateways, held in a set order, that you learn to activate in yourself — and, if you are a practitioner, with the people you work with.
A pattern is a story your field is offered to organise around.
Each acupuncture point in the sequence — a gateway — carries information: a classical function, an esoteric meaning, a position in a geometry. Holding the gateways in attention in order draws lines between them; the lines make triangles, the triangles make tetrahedra and spins. The practice is the deliberate, sequenced formation of that geometry in your own field, reinforced daily for twenty-one or forty-two days until it holds.
You do not need to be an acupuncturist. Focused attention, gentle touch, tuning forks, essential oils, crystals, breath and voice all work as tools; needling is one option among them for those licensed to use it.
- Learn the complete 37-gateway sequence, its building-block patterns and their traditional and esoteric meanings.
- Work with the geometric spins inside the pattern and the composite and preparation patterns around it.
- Activate the pattern for yourself with a high degree of detail, and experience a group activation.
- Keep a daily practice of thirty minutes and a weekly reflection — the course is built around practice, not content.
- Practitioners: learn when and how to work with the patterns, and complete case studies under supervision.

Blocks A, B and C are the assessment blocks for the practitioner path. Module recordings are produced two weeks ahead of delivery; the self-paced version of the course opens only after this first cohort has completed, in August 2027.

Open to bodyworkers, energy healers, qigong and yoga teachers, and registered Chinese-medicine practitioners. Needling is taught as an option for those licensed to use it; no one is trained to needle here.
- Do I need to be an acupuncturist?
- No. The patterns are activated with attention, touch, tuning forks, oils, crystals, breath and voice. Needling is one tool among many, for those already licensed to use it.
- How much time does it take?
- A 90-minute live call each fortnight, thirty minutes of daily practice, and a short weekly reflection. The practitioner path adds the case studies and four supervision calls.
- What if I miss a live call?
- Every call is recorded and released within 24 hours. The reinforcement practice continues regardless.
- Is this treatment for a condition?
- No. This is education in a practice of attention and inner alignment. It is not medical treatment and no health outcome is promised. If you are unwell, see your doctor.
- Who is the work credited to?
- The New Encoding Patterns and the 3-6-1 Antahkarana Meditation are the work of Dr Mikio Sankey. Steven has been on the Esoteric Acupuncture practitioner register since studying the system; the commentary, extensions and any errors here are his own.
- When does it start?
- The first cohort begins in late January – February 2027. The exact date is set when enrolment opens; the waitlist hears first.
